  1. What can I say? Chick was best there’s ever been. And there will never be another one like him. He is as big a factor there was in making me fall in love with the Lakers and the game of basketball in general. I still use his “Chickisms” every time I’m watching basketball and I say the classic “refrigerator” line with enthusiasm whenever it’s apparent the game is decided, regardless of what sport it is. As Los Angeles sports fans, we are truly lucky to have been graced with both Chick Hearn and Vin Scully, who in my opinion, are the best sportscasters to ever announce their respective sports.

  2. I think Gen X tried to do action movies. I’m thinking primarily of Ben Affleck here. That went so well that I suggest we leave it to the fogies, and as they die off so can the tired formula of one man against the system, taking on the double-agents, the mafiya and his own boss. Preferably while wearing a tux.

  3. … "On that note, black people are the worst pet owners on the planet. At least Koreans are nice to the dogs before they eat them. Watch some of those pet rescue shows on cable and you'll see why dogs at the pound pray to be euthanized before being adopted by a black person."Are white people nice to their cows?Hell yeah, I make sure to tenderize and treat it gently, right before slapping it on the grill….mmmmmmmm

  4. I find it interesting that *pre* 9/11 Hollywood was willing to portray Muslim terrorists in fiction, like the action movie «True Lies», but *post* 9/11 Hollywood will not use Muslims as fictional terrorists. There’s an argument that in cultural-Marxist dialectic, the worse a ‘victim’ group behaves, the better they must be portrayed, so the best way to insulate yourself from criticism is to behave *really* badly.

  5. I have been absent for some time, but now I remember why I used to love this website. Thank you, I’ll try and check back more often. How frequently you update your web site?
